Metalwings from Sofia

The Metalwings band comes from Sofia, Bulgaria and plays classical symphonic metal.

They developed in 2010 when singer/violinist Stela Anatasova had an idea of ​​a band playing symphonic and gothic metal with an opera vocal.

The idea was combined with female opera sounds, keys, electric violas and lots of power in drums, electric guitar and bass. Their first concerts were in Bulgaria in 2011.

Metalwings is so unique that it uses its own sound with specific elements. They mixes many symphonic rock/metal and celtic elements, melodic and mystical melodies. In addition, Metalwings’ music has the power of metallic music and draws attention to the audience’s attention to its energy, strength and symphonic sound.

At the beginning of 2015 they released their first video, Crying of the Sun:
The video was filmed in Belogradchik and directed by Peter Tomov and Velislava Gospodinova. The video was watched by 12 million people on YouTube.

Their first EP (Fallen Angel of the Hell) was released in 2016.

Over the last 6 years, the band has performed in many festivals.

On April 27, 2017, they released their second video clip Fallen Angel in the Hell:
The video was filmed over the Cave called God’s Eyes and directed by Peter Tomov.

On August 21, 2017, the band began recording its second release, which will be the band’s first album and will be release on April 19, 2018.
Album title: For All Beyond.

In November 2017, the band recorded the title track for their new album with the Sofia Session Orchestra.
The band has been busy since last fall because of recordings, mixed by Max Morton (Morton Studio, Ukraine).
