The Italian Lacuna Coil is not borin, on January 19, they gave a grand jubilee concert in London, with unprecedented songs, pyrotechnics and special elements. In addition, they work hard on their book, which will be titled Nothing Stands In Our Way. The Milanese music ensembles will soon begin recording their next album.
Cristina Scabbia, the band’s singer, has been struggling years: her father, Dario, died in November 2016, and in May 2017, ended their relationship with Slipknot guitarist Jim Root after 13 years. In the fall, she lost her beloved mother, Francesca. Cristina previously said that her friends, musicians, fans and relatives helped her a lot in the processing of losses.
Recently, she has talked to Greek Rockpages, an online music magazine about a subject that has been on several concerts: the terrorist attacks. The conversation was also received by Blabbermouth.
“It is terrible that such events have taken place, and no one had ever thought that a concert might have been a terrorist attack. It’s impossible to understand that such things can happen.”
– began the 45 year old singer.
“Me and the rest of the band are not afraid of a possible terrorist attack during the party. Life can end at any time and I want to enjoy it as long as possible.”
– referred to her last losses Cristina.
“I’m focusing exclusively on singing and fans, and I’m trying to convey a positive energy to the audience. The most important thing for us is to make the audience feel good and feel no fear.”
