The members of the Swiss Cellar Darling band, founded in June 2016, were members of the Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie before their project. However, for various reasons, they left the band and established their own band.
Their first single was released called Challenge.
This year they performed before such a bands like Amorphis and The Gentle Storm.
In 2017, they signed by Nuclear Blast Records and their first album, This Is The Sound, released in the summer.
Recently they’ve announced that they are working on their second album, which will be released on March 22 titled The Spell.
The first single, Insomnia was released last November.
The Spell will be a concept album and the artwork was made by Costin Chioreanu.
It tells the tale of an unnamed girl who is birthed into a world that is in pain, damaged and debilitated by the human beings that inhabit it.
They follow her as she searches for a meaning in life, when suddenly she meets and falls in love with death-concluding with an ambiguous ending.
The second single, The Spell was released on January 18.
